Hi, we have a couple of XP Pro machines in our Network that have started to have problems when trying to Map a network drive. Others in the same Network don't have any problems what so ever. We have tried it manually too (in addition tot he logon script) but still it fails.
Any help is very much appreciated :)

In what way does it fail? Are there any clues in event viewer? Does local network name resolution work properly for these machines?

prove that network connectivity exists, and see other probs if it's, say, slow, like tracert to a server, and compare ttl results with other machines on the same subnet. It couldbe a NIC hardware issue...

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I have checked everything and its normal. One thing is there though, when I want to change the password on the computer, it says the domain is not available. The outlook is working fine, its only giving the problem with Mapping Network Drives.

Many thanks guys. Especially Linney, it worked by re-joining the computer which also proved to be a problem because of Firewall blocking DNS port.
