fade music on powerpoint slide

Hi All

I have a music clip on a slide in my powerpoint presentation and after a couple of slides I want it to fade out not just stop suddenly as it is currently doing. Is there any addin for powerpoint or a freeware program that will do this?

Audacity's effect "Fade Out" is exactly what you're looking for, and their price isn't bad either. Go to

Audacity was the suggestion I was going to make. Not sure about the price comment made by ttterk. I got mine for free and its the full version:
