Hi there,

I am not sure why I can't use the fade command after I have done a selection.

Can anybody help?
Thanks

this might not make sense but is the layer name 'italicised' or 'roman'. if it is italicised then the document is flat (Background). this will not allow you to fade. if this is the case then double-click on the layer and click OK. this will make it an actual 'layer' that can interact with other layers.

Hi Duncan,

That's what I thought but unfortunately it does not work on a real layer either.

Hi,

You can only do the fade command immediately after you do a filter.

Hope this helps!
