Greetings,

I got a used option11c that I was trying to set up. It came with all the programming from the business it was at previously. I figured out the passwords and all that jazz.

I have been trying to clean it up so that I can use it for my purposes but it would be a lot easier to just start with a clean slate. Do you know how I could go about getting the software to do a fresh install or is there a better method to doing a "factory reset"?

This is my current ISS printout from ld22:

ISSUE 00 +

I have spent hours scouring the web trying to find the software but have had no luck finding a working download. I would appreciate any advice!

Thanks for the reply bhassell. I will try this.
Will I need a copy of the software to perform the upgrade?
If so, where is a good place to get a copy of the software to do so.

Thanks again,
werman

I'd be careful if you don't have the keycodes.

As you can log in, go into LD 22 and capture the following information as you will be able to rebuild the system should the CPU fail.

ISS
TID
SLT

Then go into LD 143 from TTY "0" and do UPGRADE at the ".". I think it was 3 for utilities and then the summary details. i.e.

Thanks,

You have two choices Werman

1) To remove / delete all the main existing configuration such as Trunks, Extensions, names, ACD etc and start again from that point.

2) using the captured informaton that I mentioned above in my previous message to obtain a PCMCIA card or compatible Compact Flash card (SANDISK) early version no greater than 128 megs with the software pre loaded on the card to install a default database.

If you are not used to working on Nortel products, then I would suggest that you stick with option 1.

If you do a full install without retaining the keycode information, then there is little chance of recovering the system as Avaya support ended a few years ago. I can send you the Option 11c 03.00 software if you still want it but remember that your system is still limited to what it was licensed for.
