F986 works with 7324 but no other sets

Tried doing a search but to no avail. I have a customer that has an 8x24 with 6 port expansion, 5 station modules and one trunk module. There is a NAM installed. The problem is that a call can not be sent directly to a voice mail box (feature 986) from any other set than a 7324. 7310, 7316,7208, none will do the transfer unless it is a 7324. I am sending a tech there to log onto the NAM with a laptop. I know that other times, the enable redirect setting has to be changed. I have never heard of a system only allowing 7324 sets to transfer to voice mail and no others. All capability settings are the same, line access etc. I am completely stumped.

Do you have more than 1 intercom button on the phones other than the 7324. If you don't have line appearances on these phones you need to have at least 2 intercom buttons for 986 to work.

I will have the tech check. YOu know that makes a lot of sense. I will find out if there are line appearances or just a pool code (F649). I will let you know and friday happy hour is on me if you nailed it.
