F985 gives out b2 1

F985 gives out b2 channel dn after a move.
I have done some searching and noticed someone saying that if set relocation was on it could cause this type of problem. What I can't find is the solution. Set Relocation was definatly on during the move.
I CAN forward to the B2 DN but I can't use it as a CFNA DN, which is causing all kinds of problems. I did reset both the CICS and the Callpilot100 but still the B2 DN shows up.

OMG....

I did that once, where I didn't shut off the Autoset Relocate (ASR) and moved the system to a new location.

I had to re-program everything... it was easier then trying to find the extensions, labeling set for the extension it states with names, and moving each set to the new location.
But then again, I do not know how many sets you have.

But even still, if you move the startalk/ call pilot the extension should have followed the voicemail - with ASR turned on.

I have found that if F985 is providing a B2 DN then you have a port issue not a DN issue. Check to make sure the system sees all the CP ports B1/B2 in Maintenance. You may have a blown 1st port B1, in which case the CP is toast.

I did reset everything and started new. I also changed physical ports on the ksu. After all that it still only found the B2 channel. Curiously when the system answers a call it says the line is in use by the B1 channel, so I'm not so sure the port is blown. More like something is confused. One suggestion was to unplug the cp, use xftest to delete f985 and restart everything. I will be onsite tomorrow and thats my next attempt to resolve this.

Hook up laptop and use hyper terminal, boot up CP and watch the boot sequence to see how the channels are.
You see 4 channels.

Allworx guy meant the port in the CP maybe blown,not the KSU.

Also as last resort and/or as a test try using just one mod cord on port 2 (but same port as first mod on KSU) and see if CP works.

Thanks for the replies.
I have tried numerous things to change the port on the callpilot and all have failed. I did use the laptop and got these logs, there are 2-3 boot sequences per text file. I am at the point i have to tell the customer he has to replace something but to be honest i'm not sure what. Can someone take a look at the logs, see if they notice something out of the ordinary and suggest a plan of action. TIA Mike

The CP is in a reboot loop because it does not see a b1 channel on port one.

Verify you have a good port AND patch cord to the port on the MICS using a phone.

You are using a CP 1.5 which buggy at times. Make sure your power supply is good. It must 8VDC. CP 1.5 was shipped with 9V. The 9V supply had a 3 prong power plug the 8 volt is 2 prong no ground.

If all is good replace the CP.

If keeps rebootong...did you put it back on the network?

A CP can cycle reboots if the IP was changed on the network and not on the CP.

As a test change the IP of the CP back to default and unplug the patch cable then boot up.

Sorry guys....NO..its not rebooting itself....I just didn't disconnect the serial cable so your seeing multiple boots by me. Each time I tried something different looking for a change in the B2 number but no such luck. The very last one was a reset of the whole system and still no change.
If everyone thinks its the Callpilot I can advise the customer to buy new. I will be trying alternate software tomorrow just in case the software is corrupt but I dont think it is. I can also try a new KSU to see if that makes a difference.

You could try as last resort just upgrading the software to 3.1

File is on nortel site, upgrad procedure is in our FAQs
It will reload the boot files.

In that case you would need to call and authorized Vendor or order it from them.

Most likley they have the card already, they come and power down, insert upgrade card in the front slot, power up and once completed they reboot CP.

If this does not work and you have more than 10 mailboxes then an authorized vendor would need to replace the CP box, do the upgrade to 3.1 then migrate your purchased mailbox key codes to the new box via the KRS system at Nortel and send your defective box back to Nortel.

Or send the whole thing to an authorized vendor for a quote.
