Old BCM 400:

I can access Call Pilot via a laptop and windows but when I try to use F983 on a teleset it says INACTIVE FEATURE.

On 3.x BCM's you cannot use Feature 983. You can only access the programming through the web interface.

Thank you.

One more questions, do I use Element Manager to change configs like LINES and SETS, MOH etc?

If so I can not find it under the Main BCM Menu

On 3.x you won't use element manager. It uses the unified manager. Just use IE to browse to the IP of the BCM. Most configuration, including lines and sets, can be done through configuration, services, telephony services.

All that is displayed under SERVICES is IP Telephony and I can not find access to the T7316's that are installed.

Uninstall the latest Java updates and install an old version.

When I try to access via the preinstalled Home Page it tells me toi load Java. I try and it just sits there with a blank page.,

I think that is what is happening. It is trying to load java and just stops.

So do I go to Windows programs and uninstall Java?

Do you have a link to the correct version of Java. I can't find older version to save my life.

Thanks it has 1.6 do you think that will work?

I will be ableto try it on Monday when their office reopens. Do you think once that is in place I will be able to configure the SETS, LINES, etc?

Can I program via a teleset?

perhaps the login you are using doesn't have access to full telephony programming?

That may be possible. I created an extra back up login and I thought I gave myself all elements and options but I will chgeck again.

I do have the ee_admin login access. That should give me telephony programing access, correct?

Can I program via the teleset?

ee_admin will have all right Telset programming is not supported on 3.x. Only 4.0. It corrupts the database. Java 1.5 should work for you.

try going to control panel->java ane ensure you web browser (eg internet explorer) is ticked.
