F981 showing log not Password 2

I am unable to get a phone ext to recognize it's voicemail. I have made sure that it was set up in F983, but when I hit F981 on the phone it just show's log. How do I get this phone extension to work with it's voicemail?

you normally only see that when the ext on the mailbox is not the same as the mailbox. I suggest go back and verify that your mailbox has the correct ext assigned to it.

If it does then try and delete the mailbox entirely and build it again.

I have tried that several times. I just can't seem to get the voicemail to connect with the ext. When I dial the extension I get the general voicemail. When I go to F981 go to other and do the 2480000 thingy Im getting the voicemail box fine. I just can't seem to link them together.

Reseting the system is not an option here.

Well, if the mbox and the ext in the mbox match and you have tried re-building the mailbox, have you tried power clearing the VM? (powering it down for a minute). Once I was told to delete the problem mailbox, create a dummy mailbox to take up the same memory location and then re-build the mailbox (delete the dummy when you are done), you could also try that. beyond that I am fresh out of Ideas.

This may seem simple, but I've made this mistake before. Press Feature *0, then the intercom key to verify that the station is actually 248. I've made the assumption before and it was just labeled incorrectly.
