F9600 not able to leave voice mail on UC telephony office-linx

We are ecperiencing some issues getting our voicemail system working with our F9600. the VM software is UC Telephony Office-Linx Ver. 7.0 by Esnatech. It seems that the the SMDI data is getting to the VM server but we are recieving an "Error Assigning SMDI, INVALID channel 0". If anyone has any help please let me know.
 
We have had issues with the SMDI where the device connecting to the Fuji had the com port set up wrong. It has to be set at the proper speed and 7,E,1 to work. Perhaps that will help. You can get a PC and run hyperterminal or something to make sure the data is getting there. Also, make sure you have the correct cable. IF there is some funky hookup between the 9600 and your equipment, you may need a gender changer and null modem.
