f12 preview in browser problem

it doesnt work! i have never had this problem. i checked all my paths and theyre ok.

i hit f12 and no dice.

what is wrong???

Does it just not do anything? If so are you on a new install of DW? Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

Clcik edit then preferences then preview in browser. If you aren't using a local server(needed to run a database off your harddrive) you should have the prview using local server button unticked.

Also check there are browsers in the browser box, and if not, add them.

I have also had this problem a couple of times. DW would just seem to decide it wouldn't preview anything, when it had ben working fine before. The only cure I could find was a good reboot. Watever was going on, that fixed it.

its not an installation problem. i have the correct browsers installed. they wil load up, but i cant view anything in the browser.

i read that if you have server side includes then DW doesnt preview, but i dont have that.

still no luck.

you are probably using windows ME...it is a bug that can be fixed by getting the dreamweaver patch on the macromedia site..
