Can anyone let me know if I should go with Sprint or AT&T as a F/R provider. Are there any non-biased comparisons between the two?Pros and cons of one over the other?
Thanks

They both are a good provider for frame relay . I would contact the local Telco and ask
which company has a local presence , just in case you have troubles and they need to be resolved ASAP . [sig][/sig]

Are there any WRITTEN comparison reports about percent up-time, throughput, cost, MTTR (mean time to repair) that are published by an independent evaluator?

get a SLA ( service level agreement) complete with penalities spelled out clearly if they fail to provide the aggreed to coverage and uptime. get all contact numbers and names ahead of time.

SLAs are an excellent way of evaluating the various vendors. But, actually, some of my colleagues want to know who has the better proven record, based on some evaluation of existing services. Are there any comparison reports on line? thanks.

I'm not aware of any reports.. but with that said. I would toss a few things out that make the reports useless for now. PacBell used to own the frame circuit and cloud. 1 800 number took care of it and GTe was the laughing stock of LA. Since the telecom act passed, PAcbell in order to get into more markets, spun the frame relay *protocol* folks into a new compnay, AIS and kept the line folks at Pacbell. So now when you have a frame outage.. you get the normal finger-pointing and two to three groups involved. And none seem to know what the hell frame relay really is. GTE has it's own pains right now.. can not run a DSL circuit to save their collective butts. Again, they are fragmenting into smaller biz units. A outage that normally took 2-4 hours to correct has taken upwards of 4 days. I have one frame that has NEVER worked from day one and it's been 3 months. go figure.. We also use AT/T and have some problems with our cross country links with them.

Oh the joys
