In Excel I used to be able to highlight a column of figures and in the bottom right hand side of the worksheet I would be able to see the sum of what is highlighted. I could then press ctrl and select other cells within the worksheet and the sum figure would change accordingly. We have recently been upgraded to Excel 2000 and I am now unable to perform this function. Our IT Department doesn’t know how this works.
Any ideas anyone? Very grateful for any assistance

right click on the right side of the status bar and a menu should pop up for you.
