Hi,
We have TS 2012 r2 running sage 300. When you select your company to login it takes over 40 secs to connect. When you are finally in the database it runs fast. Then when you logout of the company it takes over 40 secs. We have 32 gigs of ram on ts and on the SQL Server. The sql is 2008. I hope anyone has any ideas of why it is slow just logging and out of the databases.
Thanks

Hi,
We don't use the IP address. We just tried it to see if it made a difference which it didn't. For the Sage 300 authentication are you talking about the user puts in a username and password for accpac instead of using windows authentication? Or is this something different?

Tried that and still same issue. Our SQL person has updated the database from 2005 to 2008 before we upgraded from 5.6 to 2014 could there be something with that? It's like a needle in a haystack.

Microsoft SQL Server Native Client Version 10.50.1600 on one ts server and Microsoft SQL Native Client Version 09.00.4035 on another TS server

Maggied,
This can be due to the fact that roaming profile is enabled on the accounts in your Active directory.
Please remove the roaming profile and test.

Hi, Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. We do not have roaming profile enabled.

Also I noticed when you access the current user screen iff one or more users are logged in to accpac then it has an hour glass that doesn't disappear.

We deleted the semaphore.bin and lanpak.bin at night and it was a lot faster logging in and out. But the next day as users were logging into the company it has gradually become slower.

How many Accpac users do you have and how many Accpac access licenses do you have?

We have the antivirus exclude the program directories and the shareddata folders. We have 69 licences and currently only have 22 users logged in.

Do you know where to change how often the current user screen is refreshed...it seems to always have the hour glass on.

Forget about the hourglass, you still haven't fixed the underlying problem. Face it, you need to pay some money and have a Sage expert look at it.
