Extremely large log files in OE 5.0

Any OE 5.0 gurus out there?

The following files appear in my

c:\windows\application data\microsoft\outlook express

folder and are very large.

HTTPMail.log..........127,914KB
HTTPMail(1).log........34,142KB

I have 2 identities in OE, so I assume that's why there are two files. What would happen if I deleted them?

If I can't delete them, is there anyway in OE that I can compress them?

why not try to rename it to 'HTTPMail.old'

when oe works, fine - it will probably generate new log-files. if oe won't work rename it back...

Well, I found out what the HTTPMail.log files were. I had connected two Hotmail accounts to OE long time ago and had forgotten about it. So it was nothing I set, except the Hotmail accounts. I removed the accounts and the log stops.
