I haven't seen that message are you running ESRP? EDP is usually used with ESRP (Extreme Standby Router Protocol). If you have Extreme support I'd contact them? If you're not on extremeware version 7.2b25 I'd move up to as close as possible. We had a lot of odd issues when we were on various versions of 6x. Since we've been on the 7x it has only gotten more stable.
[cheers]

Hy, I have seen these messages a lot. Sometimes they are cosmetic, the switch states them and there are no real errors. But most of the times, the number of these messages increase and in the end the switch restarts the module three times before it is shut down.
Then you only can RMA it, if you have a contract...

And the EW version is important. Older versions have more problems.

Since we've been on the 7x we have had fewer problems. Especially with cosmetic error msg's. We are currently on 7.2b25 and we've had no problems.

Thanks for replying i have upgraded to 7.2b25 on all the MSM64i management cards i have the error message is a memory fault i have repaired a large quantity of these since i asked about the problem.
