Extracting the content of pdf Document

I want to be able to extract the content of a pdf document

I was able to do this with word document but no idea how to do it in pdf.

Any help is well appreciated

However, I've seen the itextsharp thing before but was looking if I could see a different method without using a 3rd party tool.
