I have a huge database of photographs with related info. in a table. Now it is expected to grow beyond 1 GB. I'm not able to extract the photograps from the table into normal picture files so that the database size can be reduced. Can anybody help ? If sombody has written code in VB / Access to do this please help.

Hello Malaviya,
On Microsoft's MSDN Online, I found a helpful explanation of the different ways to manipulate images with Microsoft Access.

Perhaps you would care to have a look?

Please have a look at the following documentation:

Store Images in your database

ACC: How to Display Images in a Form or in a Report Without Storing the Images in a Table

This one however might be the most useful since it includes a routine to save BLOBS to a file and also to retrieve them too : )

Store Binary Files in a database

Hope this helps,
Best regards,
