not sure I am in the right place, but here goes. I want to extract all of the data from our kalamazoo database to excel, and I have been told that I need to spend thousands of pounds on something called Oracle - surely this cannot be so? Is there a simple method I can use? Thanks in great anticipation!

what software are you using for your database? How many tables, columns, and rows do you have? Probably the most important question is why do you want to export the whole database to excel?

You can use a comma delimiter to spool the results into a .csv file. And the question is not clear about what is the source and the method of extract. please clarify it.
