Hi,

I want to extract data from an http link using datastage and want to load the same into oracle table. Data from the link is in comma separated format.

Can someone help?

Thanks.

If you have DS 7.5 you can use MapStage and the HTTP adapter.

I am using DS7.5 but I could not find any stage called MapStage. Can you give more info?

I was trying to build a wrapped stage for using unix command wget. With this I am getting error "No operator defined for stage". Also i observed a strange behaviour by this stage. When I created a job with this wrapped stage, it worked, although I did not get any output. But it was running without any errors. When I closed the job and reopened it it started giving compilation error - "No Operator defined for stage".

Can someone help.
Thanks.

Contact your sales rep. I understand that is could be a free addition. MapStage is Ascentially (sorry for the pun) the former Mercator transformation engine and adaptors/connectors. To run UNIX commands with MapStage, you can use what is called the Shell Script adapter, and this can be used for input, output or even in a transformation rule. There is also an Exit function for running external code.

Once you start using the transformation capabilities of MapStage, you will see one reason why Ascential bought Mercator. No more Pcode writting.
