Hello,

I have been tasked with reviewing a whole host of databases. There are about 70 databases which i need to review. I need to analyise all aspects of these databases. This includes all the field names in each table as well as the field names a description of the format and attributes of each field.

I also need to be able to see where there are relationships. Now i can print out a report of the tables but i need to document it and i need to do this quickly.

I effectively need some tool that would descrbe the database.

If you need any additional information please let me know.

Many thanks.

Hi

Take a look at the System Tables, the data you want is quite possibly in there.

Also take a look at the documenter menu option

To do a complete nalysis quickly, a third party tool would be useful. SpeedFeret is one commercial tool which is highly rated by reviewers. There are also some [free | share] ware items discussed in these (Tek-Tips) fora I think one of them may be mozilla, but I seem to never be able to rember the name for sure. A search on Documentation & Tools should turn up some ideas.
