Extra Personal Folders 1

In Outlook 97 I have created additional Personal Folders, by mistake. How do I delete them, in Outlook? I have tried renaming the .pst file, but the additional Personal Folders still appear in the Outlook folders view.

I am guessing that Outlook 97 is the same in this as Outlook 2002. Go to File>Open>Outlook Data File... In the Open Outlook Data File window right-click each file you want delete and select Delete. Then click Cancel to close the window.

Thank you- That removed the files from my computer, but they are still listed in the folder view, in Outlook. Any idea how to remove the listings?

Yes, right-click the folder and select Close.

Sometimes, you have to create a new profile to get the folders to remove from the folder list.

Just my two cents worth.

umm have you tried right-clicking the folder and selecting "Close" ?

Thanks to all who offered suggestions. Creating a new profile removed the folders from the folders view.
