I've got a report that prints out an extra page at the end with no data - just the header and footer. The rest of the report is fine, but I can't figure out how to prevent this extra page.

I am running on Win XP with CR XI R2.

Thanks for any help.

Check every section to make sure that the NEW PAGE AFTER isn't used either by being checked or having a formula.

The next thing that might cause this is by having a section sized so that after the last row displays then it needs to go to a next page to finish the extra space in that section.

The way to test the latter is to limit the rows a bit more in the record selection, if it still issues a new page, then there's probably a new page after in there.

Thanks for the response.

I checked for the NEW PAGE AFTER to make sure that wasn't selected.

It appears that the PRINT AT BOTTOM OF PAGE is causing the problem. I have a subreport that is the last thing to print on the bottom of each page (other than the page footer). I need it to print at the bottom of the page - but if I uncheck PRINT AT BOTTOM OF PAGE, the extra page does not print.

I will change things a bit and see if there might be extra space that you mentioned.

-thanks.

Have you suppressed the report footer?

check the subreport to make sure there is no white space at the bottom and that unused sections are suppressed.

Your suggestions solved the problem.

Once I suppressed the report footer, the extra page disappeared.

The report footer was rolled up or compressed to where you couldn't even see it in design view - so I thought it was a non-factor. However, something about the subreport caused the report footer to trigger the extra page.

Many thanks!!!
