External Voicemail Collect Issue

I have an external number number setup with an unconditional forward to a shortcode *7

*7 is a Voicemail Collect shortcode with no number entered

When a user dials the external number, they are immediately fowarded to the shortcode that plays the autoattendant. The AA then prompts the user for the extension and hash, then the password and hash.

The problem is that the AA asks for the users extensions and password twice before it lets them in.

Any ideas?!

in the incoming call route set the destination as voicemail (select from dropdown, dont type in)

Hey Tom, I've just added this and tried it but it still asks twice.

If I dial the shortcode it only asks once, it only asks twice when I come from the ICR

and it lets you into the mailbox after you have entered it twice?

I've tried capturing the shortcode with VMPro and then doing a Get Mail, it still asks twice for the credentials.....I'm out of ideas

I had a similar problem.. it turned out that I had call flow set up for peoeple to either get mail or to use telephone options from Outside office and they had same call flow in VM pro under their names when they press the VM button... The problem showed up after I did and upgrade..

What I ended up doing was deleteing the call flow for the individual users to get mail or telephone options by pressing the VM button..

Sory Nystech, I'm not sure I understand what you mean by a call flow? Is this within VMPro?
