I have a employee that would like to be able to call in on a line and check his/her voicemail from outside the building. Can anyone please set me up with a walkthrough and or tell me what all is involved in doing so? I have a CP100 and MICS 6.1 i believe.

Have the employee call in and if a receptionist answers the call have the receptionist transfer the call to voicemail and when the voicemail/AA answers dial ** then the mailbox number and the passcode followed by #. at this point listen to the prompts over the telephone.

2) Once you hear the automated greeting or attendant, type your extension.
3) Once the phone rings through, and you hear your greeting, Type: ** (the voicemail system prompts you to enter your mailbox number and password)
4) Next enter: your mailbox number and your password together. (for me I would type 2290000*) 229 is my extension and 0000 being my hypothetical password.
5) Once this information is entered, the auto attendant will tell you about the messages within your mailbox.
6) You may now push the appropriate buttons to listen to your messages. (see below)
