External transfer using telco provider flash

I have a TVM50 voicemail and a TDA-30 hybrid system. I am trying to set an external transfer through an auto attendant (Custom Service). I can make it work using the transfer out option and dialing 9. I was hoping to be able to initiate a transfer sequence that could use the hookflash transfer to avoid tying up two lines for the transfer. I have done this with NEC systems but was wondering if anyone had any luck on the panasonic systems. With NEC i would use a call forward on a virtual extension.

You can get the vm unit to do it using EFA as long as the vm ports are not barred

is EFA the transfer sequence code? What do you mean by barred?
