What type of authenication is your SQL box using - i.e. Mixed Mode, NT Authentication, SQL???

Hi ,
make sure your using the same authentication on bothsides, as i can recall ICM uses mixed rather than integrated, also check the ports that both Databases ports are configured to. Do you have a firewall in between ??
do not change the security configuration setting on the ICM, it might look harmless but it will bring down the ICM instance (no connections to anything)
