External Routing - Probably an easy one.
How do we route a 4 digit number out to a toll free?
Tried ARS route using Digit Mod Plan and it didn't work. Is there a better way or did I just miss a crucial step?

Thanks!

Well Speedcall is the obvious answer

Can be added to the tel directory.

What are you trying to do that a speedcall can't do it for you

We want to dial a 4 digit number that calls externally ex. Dial 5555 it calls 918008675309.
We used Users & Devices / Advanced Configuration / Call Forwarding Profile. Then we put a Single Line Key on a phantom extension to take that number out of play.

What's the advantage of using SpeedCall over this Call Forwarding?

We struggle with identifying used numbers in our dialing plan. It was easy in Nortel world, still learning Mitel world.

To find free number go to Maintenance commands and enter "locate all free dn xxxx to xxxx".

Well you enter 5555 as the SC Digits and the Toll free number as the digits dialed, nothing more to it.

Nothing more to it.

The ONLY reason I might use other methods is is I want to somehow restrict the dialing as I believe SC overrides restrictions.

SXWizard, we use Locate Free DN often, we have multiple AX, EX, FLEX, MiCollab servers, sometimes numbers we think are free actually aren't. We don't find out until we go to YourSite and find the person we assigned got stuck somewhere and either have to delete an old Agent or assign a new extension in AD

Thanks for all the responses.
