Hello all,

Need to integrate MOH device having 3.5 mm Audio outout with OS4000 Version 8 using SLMAV24 card.
Does it is possible & how?

Hi.

Use search in forum for SSC and RCSU.

To allow for an external music on hold source, the following configuration must be followed:
In the AMO ZAND / ALLDATA, the parameter HOLDTN should = MUSIC, and the ANATESIG parameter should = TONE.
Add the external music source: In the AMO SSC, add an analog PEN, TYPE = EXTANN, CPCALL = MUSIC.

External Announcement devices (MusiPhone) will actually be connected on analog ports Ports (SLMA).
There are 2 AMOs used for configuration of announcement devices.
- With AMO SSC the MoH for the entire system can be configured to use the announcement device instead of the standard SIU-tone.
- With AMO-RCSU individual MOH can be configured. The assignment of an announcement device to a station can be done by parameter HMUSIC in SBCSU/SCSU.

Hi

The easiest way is to prepare a cable with a 3.5 mm plug using a soldering iron [thumbsup2]

and seriously,

it may turn out that the output from the device has too little impedance and you should use something like that (also a soldering tool in your hand)

ADD-SSC:[PEN],EXTANN,HOLDLINE&MUSIC&LOCANN&HOLDINT,0,G711&G729AOPT&ML,1;
and restart slma, should work

When using the drawing above, I suggest you use a high wattage resistor as listed, as it is passing the loop current from the analog port so can get quite hot if you use a smaller one. I have also used a small audio output transformer successfully between the music source and the analog port. There are some commercially available isolators you can use as well.

There is an Atlas Soundolier LT600-VC matching transformer that works great for that. You can convert a 600 ohm and other impedance to the analog port.
