Hi all,

I have an issue with my first deployment of EHDU on a Micollab (UCCv3 licensing) and 4 x MCD (v7SP1) cluster.

The micollab is AD synced and all users within the Users & Services were created from an AD sync. This included the AD attribute for their mobile numbers. The users have a mix of standard and premium licensing and we stuck to the suggested method of allowing the template to choose the directory numbers for the EHDU user and UC Endpoint (softphone).

So for example when extn 2559 is added, it auto creates 2*559 as the EHDU and 25*59 as the UC Endpoint (softphone)and puts these in a multi-device group. This all works fine.

The Gamma SIp trunk attributes entry was set to Trusted so that EHDU users did not have to login and their mobiles would just ring. This again works fine.

Now it was proposed that users may not want the EHDU feature to just work so I set the trunk attributes to untrusted and setup the EHDU dial in number and made sure the EHDU's COS was set correctly with EHDU permanent login disabled. I followed the help file to the letter to get this setup.

I dial the DDI assigned to the EHDU dial in and get a dial tone, so far so good. I then try and enter my EHDU DN which is 2*559 and the entry of the * cancels the call.
I prove this by dialling the DDI and entering 2559 without the * and it accepts it ok. i then enter the user PIN and hotdesk logout FAC 898 and I get a short tone and the call is disconnected. The maintenance logs show an invalid pin has been entered for 2*559 and eventually I get locked out by the DISA lockout attempt setting.

I have also tried the remote logout FAC and get Not Allowed even though it definitely is set to Yes in all COS.

So my questions are:

1. Why can't I enter a * when I've dialled the EHDU DDI?
2. Why isn't the PIN being recognised?
3. Why doesn't remote logout work?

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Two things come to mind
1. Mid-Call Features enabled in COS of EHDU?
2. Does the Gamma SIP SBC support KPML digit detection

Hi Waldosworld,

Thanks for your reply. The mid digit feature is turned on but I am also thinking that the SIP trunks might be the issue. I have logged a ticket with our supplier to get an answer. I also had to turn of the Trusted feature as it did not allow anyone with a twinned mobile through EHDU to ring a DDI number on our system. So colleagues couldn't call colleagues. The CCS trace shows the call come in and immediately try and dial out which would fail so the caller gets cut off. Turned off trusted and people could dial in. One to test another day I think.

Thanks.
