I am pretty sure of the answer but I want to check. I have Windows XP Pro on my desktop, the problem is that I have a bunch of old 98 games that wont work...I am sure this has happened to a bunch of people. Now on my computer the hard drive is 20 gigs and so I dont want to dual partition it. Will loading Win 98 on an external HD work?

Possibly...it's worth a try. But I would try to run the games in XP using compatibility mode first.

You should be able to do that, and then go and edit your boot.ini (be careful, you can break your machine) to point to the second installation to boot from.

I would recommend checking the websites for the games in question, as a lot of the time they have forums there with people who have had similar issues which may have already been addressed. There could be a fix right there for you already :)

Hope this helps!

Well the main one is Magic and Might 7....but 3DO is out of business so...so I should just put in an internal hard drive that is 250GB and dual partition it then?

Thx I had gone to the main website and search for the thread and found. Thx Ill try it once I get home from work.
