External email to Distribution List

Hi Guys

Have you got an idea of why email messages sent from an external email address to a distribution list on my server will not be delivered to its members.
- There is an SMTP email address set for the distribution list and the messages are coming through the firewall

Your help or advise is much appreciated

Which exchange server do you use : NT, 2k or 2k3 ??

Turned out to be a bud (Message restrictions) configuration for a particular distribution list.
