i have windows 2000 just got a western digital 250gb SATA and an irocks hdd SATA to USB enclosure. the recomended driver will not work says there is an error of not specifying a device used the USB mass storage devie driver that windows forund and had a successful install. but no usb device or drive showing up in "My computer". got tips from other forums and went to control panes disk manager etc and found that it is hidden it is "disk 2" and space is unallocated device type uknown and online. it is not formatted but don't know how to format it if it won't show up on "myComp" and i thought maybe using the write signature command might be the same as formatting but an error occured from that snd still not in "myComp". i have seen similiar threads but most with XP users and thier situation seems to be different slightly or i could not follow the help that was given. any help would be great..!!
