If I remember correctly, we could import a mapping file in Shoretel with the regional dial plan. This made dialing more user friendly as it removed the need to know whether to dial a +1 for long distance. Users could use 10-digit dialing like they do on mobile phones without thinking about whether the call is local or long distance. How is this accomplished in IP Office? The only place I've seen that resembles this functionality is the ARS, but no way to import a file there.

You can create a ARS table and export it as a binary file which can be imported in any new install.
There are a lot examples in Tek-Tips on how to program ARS for your region.
