External Dial by Name - BCM400 4.0

Hi all,

Is it possible to offer a dial-by-name option to an external caller calling in?

In the auto attedant yes

Can you elaborate on how to achieve that?

It is in the Auto attendent in the greeting you tell the the caller to use the # key to use the directory.

Then you can also set by first or last name or both

Doesn't your main greeting state that now? I don't think I've ever heard a Norstar/BCM Voicemail not give the prompt " To use our company directory press # " It kinda goes hand and hand after if you know your parties ext you may dial it at anytime.
