We have this setup:
An existing MICS, 7.0 with a Call Pilot 150 3.0 at one location.
We are replacing a MICS at another location with a BCM 400 and are planning to network them together using a Norstar gateway at the MICS. Can we use the Call Pilot off the MICS as the centralized voicemail platform? An engineer at Nortel ITAS group told me we had to use the embedded Call Pilot in the 400 as the centralzed VM platform but I don't really believe him.
Has anyone achieved this?

I have to agree with the Nortel guy with this set up. Now if you had a PRI between the two with the MCDN codes then you could use the 150. Be interesting to see if some else has done it.

Hawks is correct. The Norstar VOIP gateway runs off analog trunks, and therefore won't pass any MCDN info over the IP trunks. You would need a PRI and MCDN between the two to make this work.
