HiCom 150E (v2.2) + Office Phone Mail (v1.03):

I'd like to set the night time top level menu in the voicemail to use option 5 to place an outbound call. The manual says the CCR node can be an extension, mailbox, or hunt group. I tried entering the external phone # but it came back as invalid. Is there a way to "map" a (fake) extension to an external phone line? I.e. dialing the internal station actually makes an external call? Otherwise, what's the best way to accomplish this? Thanks.

I did figure out that you can set up a "pseudo number" (basically a no-port station set to type Answer Machine" and then use associated service to program the number to forward to an external #. From my Optiset phone when I dial that pseudo station now, the call is automatically forwarded outside. However, the voicemail system still doesn't like the extension - says it's an invalid destination. I am going to hide it in a (hunt) group with a single member and see what happens. Alex.

Issue resolved: The pseudo extenstion works fine, but the extension needs to be enabled in PhoneMail first. Once I enabled that extension - viola! The CCR node could be set to it and it works.
