Just need confirmation.

Have a customer that wants BCM, but really really wants to keep his Callpilot 100 box. (don't ask me why)

Is it possible to connect a Callpilot to a BCM ? I've got my test system here and it doesnt seem so (I disabled the voicemail service). But if there is a way, I'd be interested to know.

Thanks.

I don't believe it can be done. I'm sure you could connect it to digital ports, call it and have it answer, but your feature codes are going to be tied to the "built in callpilot".

Try it anyways.. Disconnect the hard drive and boot up the BCM.. When the phones come up, connect a CP100 to it and see what happens.. I doubt it will work because the MICS/CICS uses the B2 channel on each port for connection to a CP100/150, and if I remember correctly, the BCM doesn't have any B2 channels...

What could the 100 have that is better than the built in? Why even entertain the thought? Sometimes customers don't know whats best for them and you just have to say no.

Sounds like you have a customer that does not want to buy keycodes on the BCM for voicemail. Their out of luck the CP is not going to work.
