Can someone help with a problem I have between 2 3300's. The customer has an IP trunks to a numbers of sites. They are trying to tranfer an external call to an internal extension at another site over the IP trunk which falis. They can call branch to branch over the ip trunks with no problems.

Is there a setting in the COS which allows this to happen?

Any help on this matter would be great.

You also need to check the COR.

A transfered call assumes the COS and COR of the trunk.

You may need Trunk to trunk conf enabled

Program a set with the same cos and cor as the inbound trunk and test.

check cos of your set. make sure call forward and trunk to trunk transfer options are set to yes.

have exact same setup and it works...

transferred calls will use the cos of the trunk but the initial transfer will use the cos of the set as the set is the one doing the transfer and not the system internally..

what error messages are you getting?

I have carried out some testing with the customer and got some success. I can transfer calls to other branches ok but to this on branch I am getting one way speech. They can hear me but I can't hear them but if I ask them to transfer me to a different branch it works fine. I think it might be a COS setting on the user I am being transferred to.

One way audio problems are almost always due to the Gateway setting of the set or controller. Check on the side that can not be heard. The set's gateway is controlled via DHCP options and the Controller via the network settings.

yup. this has nothing to do with cos. it's a network issue and like kwbmitel has said it's usually a gateway issue. If call setup can be completed in both ways, in other words set a can phone set b and set b can phone set a then the gateway on your controller is correct.

check the gateway setting on your dhcp server that supply IP addresses to your phones. make sure it's correct

Hello all

I have carried testing again and found that there was a routing mis-match. Voice would go out of one cct and come back on the other. I have tested this with one branch with internal to internal branch tranfers and external to internal transfer and voice worked in both directions. I now just need to slowly work through the config for rest of the branches and they will all be able to do the same.

Thanks for all the advise on this problem
