In call pilot I can do a trunk to trunk transfer from a menu option. But when I try a trunk to trunk transfer in symposium I see the call leave the switch and the external number rings once and I get a message that the call cannot be completed at this time. Whats the differnce in what I'm doing.

In Call Pilot, you actually aren't doing a trunk to trunk transfer; the Call Pilot answers, and a Call Pilot port makes the outbound call. So if you have your RPLs set up right, and the NCOS level on the ports is high enough to make the call, the call goes.

How are you making the outbound call in the Symposium, is it a ROUTE CALL command directly to the outbound number, or are you sending it to a phantom that is DCFW'd to an external number?

I am doing a route call 1800XXXXXXX.
I have tried this with a phantom and get the same results.

I am going to assume that the ROUTE CALL command has a 91800nnnnnnn (or whatever your AC1 is).

You will need to turn on trunk to trunk transfer in your Customer Data Block. There are three different restriction levels on trunk to trunk, you need to be familiar with how your PBX is set up to set it correctly.

Thanks for the great info, I think I might be in over my head with the trunk-trunk settings.
