I come across a strange issue that for one extension number, internal call can reach the right phone set, but external call will reach another phone with difference extension number.

I'm running a BCM 200, and I have checked that Answer DNs for both of the DN are not set.

anything else I should look into? Thanks

Target line. it sounds like a DID for one phoen is set to ring on another. look under line assignment on the phone that rings.

Thanks BombOne. I found no line assigned to either the 2 DNs in "Line Assignment". And, the settings in tabs "Line Access", "Capabilities and Preferences" and "Restrictions" are as same as others for both the 2 DNs. -- I guess that means the 2 DNs are using the same line and Control Set with others who have no problem at all?

any idea?

you will need to find the target line that receives the number in question. Prime set on the line is probably set to the extension that it is ringing on. Best thing to do is change the prime set, and then go under line access and assign the line to the phone you want it to ring on. does anyone have lines assigned to them under line acces?

no line is assigned to them actually. I tried to copy all settings from another DN for the problem one which is not receiving external call, but it didn't work.

I assigned a line which has some other DNs to the problem one. still no luck.

BTW. when I make an external call at the problem DN phone set, I can see user 999 - 999 instead the user's ext&name in the BCM Monitor, and DN 999 is Application type - could it be a problem?

sorry, I'm wrong about the 999 - it shows the correct ext/name in the monitor.

Move it to another port and do a DN change if you want it the same DN.
