Are these users on a DS expansion module?

On upgrading to V4 did you do the inerim build on the expansion modules?

This can cause this kind of issue.

Power cycle the units. Not reboot, power cycle each unit. This should fix the issue.

I had the same issue the other day, and it was because the ds30 module hadn't been upgraded via 3_2_999. When I did this, it worked a treat.

i had the same problem on 4.1, a power cycle fixed the problem temporarily, but it came back. once i downgraded to 3.2(99) and then went back to 4.1 hasnt happened since.

Sounds like fly by night engineering, and the unit has not had the interim build put on the DS module.
Still all is not lost, downgrade to 3.2999 and upgrade to its correct version.

ECcableguys, if i read your topics and post i doubt it is a bug
I am not attacking you but you are not very experienced in the ipoffice yet
A reboot should never be a solution for anything !

Well regardless of what else you do, make sure you do that rollback to 3.2.99 and then back up to 4.1. Otherwise I guarantee you in 2/3 months if not sooner it will happen again you'll reboot and it'll happen again.

change your working directory to 3_2_999 and then follow the same process as upgrading

I have Manager 4.0. I tried to downgrade by browsing and changing the working directories to 3_2_999. I go to the upgrade wizard, login, and then select the modules but next to each module as it attempts to upgrade, it displays "failed". What is causing it to fail? Thanks.

If you can't be good, be good at it!

you are not using Alchemy phone packs on this are you?

If so they won't go up to 4 anything and they will not give you dial tone if you do.

I have tried. You end up downgrading 3.2 and they all work again.

Just a thought!

Hi,

I noticed this problem too. If you do many changes to the main unit and therefore you reboot a couple of times the main unit, the expansion units will loose their DTMF tones.

You have to hard reset the expansion units and therefore all the system then to get them back.

I have followed all the upgrade procedures properly and the 3.2.999 interim upgrade does not solve this problem!

I have an IP500 with a DS30 (blue one) expansion.
