have merlin magic system with only tdl cards in it (digital sets )sub would like a couple of horns to ring when system in put into nights, but dosent want the expence of getting a analog t&r card, any ideas?? thanks in advance

Can you put a T&R Device ahead of the system on a CO Line Port or two?

was looking at some valcom equiptment today and think a 6 line ring unit will be the most ecomical was to to this .only ill need to put a switch in line as they only want the horns to work at night.

OK, how do you use Night Service to toggle a device ahead of the system? What do you have up your sleeve?

TTT, the answer is, (UP MY SLEEVES) HAIRY ARMS .... But wait, I only wear Short Sleeves, so the answer is, OLD DROOPY SHOULDERS!

Perhaps MerlinMan read more into this than he thought!

We need the MFM module for TDL Sets, OK, that wasn't invented.

SO the bottom line is, what modules does your customer have.

There still may be a way, but maybe not......

The CUSTOM ENGINEERING folks at AVAYA used to do stuff with some wires out of a 4400 or 4406 set. I know what they did, and I could pass that along....

That is, if you have a soldering iron and don't mind taking a risk!

I have something that looked like a paging system.

I will have to check it's capabilities.

I will let you know once I do.
