Extension "Not in Service"

Hi,

nortel mics 6.1
When calling an extension we get a "Not in Service" when trying to transfer or intercom.

The extension works, you can dial out and it rings

Any ideas?

use feature * 0 and press the intercom, double check the ext number you are calling... dial what ever number comes up in the display.

Thanks. I did that and it shows my extension.
I press view and it shows port 105.

That's correct. When I dial that extension I get a "not in service" We can call out from that extension, and the number rings along with the rest of the phones.

We just can't transfer calls or connect through the intercom.

port 105 is not the ext. number (it is the port number.) The ext. number will be preceded by DN XX.

Hit the next soft key to view the DN.
 
If you haven't, try unplugging the phone and plug it back in. I would have my vendor look into this. Maybe the port needs to be disabled and re-enabled.
