Extension Mobility and Presence

We set up an CUCM6.1 with Unified Presence 6.0 to provide presence for all users.

The phones with a line configured on it are working fine but the phones which are using extension mobility don't provide the presence information on cisco 7940 or 7960 phones. on the 7970 and ip communicator presence is working fine.

All phones are configured with the Subscribe CSS, user are associated with the correct directory number.

Is this a restriction on the phones or should the configuration of Extension mobility users be changed?

Do you have the Subscribe CSS set up on the Extension Mobility Device Profile? Actually I don't even know if that's possible but it sounds right.

You can't set an Subcribe CSS on the Device Profile, the only way is to configure it in the End User Configuration and than associate the user with the Line.

In one of the manuals of cisco the next statement:
"When a user monitors a directory number configured for Cisco IP SIP Phone models 7960, 7940, 7905, and 7912, the system displays a status icon for `not on the phone` on the watcher device when the presentity is off-hook (but not in a call connected state). These phones do not detect an off-hook status. For all other phone types, the system displays the status icon for `on the phone` on the watcher device for an off-hook condition at the presentity."

I think presence is not supported on the 7960 and 7940 which we are using.

I know the BLF for the Call List does NOT work on the 7940 and 60's. I have not tried full blown presence but since it uses the same programming, I'll bet you're right.
