Extendvg with error

When i try to extend rootvg whit smit i've got this error :
0516-024 hdisk1:Unable to open physical volume.
Either PV was not configured or could not be opened. Run diagnostics.
0516-792 extendvg: Unable to extend volume group.

Someone could help me ? Thanx !!

Please post your exact syntax.

extendvg VGNAME hdisk#

Please provide VGNAME and hdisk#

Also, please post output of "lsdev -Cc disk"

syntax : extendvg -f rootvg hdisk1

output of "lsdev -Cc disk" is :

hdisk0 Available 10-60-00-10,0 16 Bit LVD SCSI Disk Drive
hdisk1 Available 10-60-00-11,0 16 Bit LVD SCSI Disk Drive

I'd remove hdisk1 via rmdev, re-run cfgmgr and try again.
