I have a server that is running out of disk space. I have
purchased an new 72GB hd.

The current system is an 18GB hd with 4GB on system volume
and 14GB on data volume.

I would just like to add the new HD, move the data over to
that HD from the 14GB partition and then extend the system
volume to be 18GB.

I have found the utility Diskpart.exe but it doesn't
recommend doing it on the system partition.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Deb

Hi,
There is software named volume manager made by powerquest which is specific to the any server. I have used it with great results. This software allows to expand partitions including OS however to need to have unallocated space to do this so check it out and see for yourself.

Good Luck
