extending character limit

I trying to report using Crystal but the characters are limited to 254. Is there anyway to extend this?

If you're using NotesODBC, no. The native plugin for Crystal has also limitations, and I recommend not to install that one, it stays with you 'forever'...

Have you considdered IntelliPrint? More suited for Notes reporting / printing, and an eval can be downloaded from their site...

Thanks TrooDOS, I am using NotesODBC. Intelliprint is just a different reporting programme? I'll have a look. Otherwise, I'll have to try and get the information from a view- is there a character limit here? Does anyone know how I can retrieve the text from this

I want to retrieve the name of the person that preceeds ' -- "Open" changed to "Resolved"' and the date it was done in 2 different formulas, so for this example, the data I'm looking for is: -

This seems to be data 'composed' from different fields from a form? If so, try to access the FORM data instead of the view data and use the reporting tool to add in all the 'extended' text, in other words access the separate field values and use the reporting tool as 'filler' instead of the viewdata...

Yes, there are limits on how many chars a view can display, I THINK it is 1024 (Don't take it for the final 'truth', my memory might fool me...)
