Hello all,

I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 and I frequently use extended desktop when I am in my office and connected to my docking station. I have an application (Quicken 2005 Deluxe) that I opened up while I was using exteded desktop and moved to the secondary desktop. I closed the application from this desktop and shutdown the computer. I am now out of the office and do not have a 2nd monitor with me so I am working with a single desktop. My problem is that this application is now opening off my viewable single desktop. Does anyone know a quick fix or registry key?

Thanks,
Matt

Right Click on the Taskbar button for the application,
and click on Move. then using the arrowkeys on the keyboard move the window until you can see it.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Or you could always just go to your display properties and uncheck 'extend my windows desktop onto this monitor' for the secondary monitor that you don't have hooked up anymore.

I've already done this. Some applications don't recognize that the extended desktop has gone away. Applications like Microsoft Office are aware of this and start correctly on the visible desktop. Others, like "Quicken" don't.

Thanks Linney. That thread had the information I was looking for. I tried searching posts first to find an answer but never found that one. I guess I need to refine my searching talents. Thanks again.
