As above, on ipldk50, hotel, an slt ext rings the main att every 14-16 minutes, this phone is forwarded to living quaters at night and is keeping people awake, any advise would be fantastic.
1. Does this slt (analog phone) have a DDI (or DID) number
(Direct number)?
2. Has any other phone a hot line to the slt phone?
3. Setup some SMDR (Station Message Detailed Recording).
This can be done at almost no cost. Make the SMDR
printout go from the serial or LANU port to a PC, in a
safe place. Now you can see from which phone the call
comes.
4. Are some PC applications connected like ez Phone or ez
Attendant. These could have a build-in times dialler.
5. Check also any dial-in line, where you get a new dial
tone (DISA line).
Most important of all (belive me!) is the SMDR. We had similiar cases, and found of that a former employee harrassed his/her old work place, by this.
The "fraud" or sabotage was done through a DISA line.
Let me know about your progress.
With the hotel version there was a feature, that we were looking through, but we did not use it. It was the bath alarm. Can it be timed?
Do you have some relays or contacts that can be activated and give you this alarm?
I have 2 scenarios that could solve this issue:
1.
Remowe all cabling except the 2 wires for the attendant console (or where you receive these alarms).
2.
Remowe all database, and re-program the PBX.
Remember to initialize in PGM 450 before re-progeramming it.
Re-programming should be done maually, if you use the back-up, then the fault will appear again.
It seems very strnage that a failed wake-up should cause so much interfence. If it is so, I think we should report it as an inconvenience (or fault).
A failed wake-up should be timed out in max one hour.
