Express licensing

We have recently got a new firewall in place - before I joined. THe box acts as a gateway aswell as a policy server sor scureclient. Does an express license cover all this?

When I try to push a policy to it it will not take it - it says the license may be incompatable and the policy push fails saying no valid FM licence....

help!

There are a few things that could cause your problem:

1. The Express licensing patch hasnt been installed and the license isn't being seen properly.

2. The license hasnt been properly installed.

Both of these wouldnt show to an inexperienced installer since the 15 day eval period would mask the problem.

Could also be a problem with the license itself, you could check what the management server thinks is licensed using 'cplic print'.

If you don't make many changes, this could be a problem that dates from the install. Call the original installer, or someone else with a clue

I have got the checkpoint solution for installing the patch to the firewall (nokia IP350)

however I cannot run the command cpshared_ALI_<build_number> it says its not a recognised command..........

anyone else applied this patch?
